We are the home of 2 Copic Intermediate Certified Instructors that want to bring you classes that not only will get you all the info you need to start using your Copics with whatever project you had in mind but teach you some great techniques with total hands on teaching every step of the way while we grow a community of support and feedback!
Our Basic Classes is designed to take you from the first time you put a Copic marker in your hand thru the end of 7 weeks filled with projects, practice and lessons to make that marker feel like its always been there! Our Advanced Class will take those skills to a whole new level! Both instructors will be on hand every day in our Class blog, via email and our forums to answer all of your questions.
We have so many fun things available for you:
- Gallery - where you can post your homework and any projects you’ve completed throughout the lessons.
- Forum - We will have an open forum for only those in the class. Here you can ask questions and chat about your progress.
- Downloadable Practice Sheets - to help you with learning and practicing techniques we will be teaching
The content included in our classes are exclusive to Created from Color students, you won’t be finding it on blogs or YouTube. The class blog will be available to students for the 7 weeks of class along with 3 additional weeks to go back over everything. At the end of the course, lessons will be available as a PDF so you can have it forever! We also will have an alumni forum to keep in touch with your fellow students and instructors so really this class is never ending!
Each class is limited to 30 students so we can give you the attention and time you deserve. We will be taking sign ups for our first Basic Class, an advanced course soon to follow, in January so stay tuned!
In the mean time here is a little about our Instructors, Kristy and Melissa…

Blog: The Odd Girl
Hi! I’m Kristy Dalman, owner and designer of Some Odd Girl Stamps. I’ve been using Copic Markers for 2 years now. I gained my Standard Certification in June of 2010 and my Intermediate Certification in November of 2011 both by the talented Debbie Olson. I am a mom of 2 who has been married for 8 years to a super supportive husband! I love to craft, draw, read and watch reality kitchen shows (Kitchen Nightmares!) I am also a Copic Artist in their 2012 Catalog and have been interviewed on their site.

I received my Standard Certification in August of 2011 from the fabulous instructor and artist Marianne Walker and recently received my Intermediate Certification in October of 2011 from the amazingly talented Colleen Schaan. I was a featured artist on Copic Color in November of 2011 and am also the coordinator for the digital stamp company Tiddly Inks. I’ve designed for a number of talented stamp designers including Kristy of Some Odd Girl, Christy of Tiddly Inks, and Melissa of Meljen’s Designs.
